- The second seminar (June 1969)


On 19th June 1969 a second Seminar was held in Cambridge.

Six papers were read. These were not published as a group but their titles were listed in the Bulletin of the Institute of Archaeology of London University 8-9, 1968-1969: 258 and this list was reprinted, with the same page number, as part of the introductory material to PSAS 1-3 (1970-1973).

The papers were as follows:

R.B. Serjeant , The Yemen.

W. Dostal , Ethnological observations in Tarim, accompanied by films of local crafts.

D. Whitehouse , Exported objects from Siraf (southern Persia) in the 8th-12th centuries A.D.

R.D. Bathurst , Historical problems for archaeology in Oman.

B. de Cardi , Field surveys in the Sheikdoms of Ras al-Khaima and Fujeira, Trucial States.

B. Doe , Expedition to Socotra with film.
